Establish that you have a legal obligation to join CIPQ by checking that you have a current registered Enterprise Agreement with building unions that includes CIPQ.
Where you established that you have a legal obligation to participate in CIPQ you should:
(a) complete and sign the Deed of Adherence enclosed
(b) complete the Contribution Advice by adding and/or deleting workers names and details similar to the way this is done for BUSS(Q) and BERT
(c) return the Deed of Adherence, Contribution Advice with your payment to SuperPartners
Where you have an EBA with an operative date prior to 1 March 2001, payment should be made for the workers that were engaged by you for each month since March 2001. You should include workers that may have left your business during these months.
Where you have signed an EBA after 1 March, 2001, contributions should be paid for each eligible worker from effective date of the EBA.
You have a legal obligation to pay for the "blue collar" workers covered by the EBA as well as apprentices engaged on site.
Where you do not have a legal obligation to participate in CIPQ you may voluntarily contribute on behalf of your workforce. These workers may include "blue collar" workers not covered by an EBA, administrative, technical and management workers. The premium remains the same at $15.00
The participating employer agrees to advise employees that it will disclose to CIPQ personal information necessary to administer their membership of the Fund.
