About CIPQ :
Eligibility For CIPQ
|
| |
A welcome letter and a membership card will be sent to the worker shortly after a contribution advice form containing the worker's name is received and processed by Superpartners. The card will indicate the worker's membership number.
Any eligible worker of a participating employer whether full-time, part-time or casual, including apprentices, can participate in CIPQ. Casual workers will have payments made on a weekly basis, which will provide 7 days coverage from the date of payment eg payment made on Tuesday, coverage until 12 midnight the following Monday, which is only available from date of termination and or between jobs. 31 days applies for permanent workers.
Contributions cannot be made for any worker once they are 70 years of age.
It is the responsibility of employers to pay contributions on behalf of their workers in order to arrange for workers to participate in CIPQ, after the employer has signed a Deed of Adherence.
The worker is covered by the Fund when his/her employer enters the worker's name and details on the contribution advice forms and pays contributions on behalf of the worker.
For the worker to be eligible for benefits his/her claim must fall within the terms and conditions of the policies.
